We’d like to thank all our patients for their understanding and patience at this challenging time. We have had to implement a few changes to the way we’re working at the moment but we are still open. The changes we have made are to protect our patients from the risk of infection and to try to ensure that we are able to stay open and functioning throughout this time.
We are trying to keep the number of patients coming into the health centre to a minimum so are currently offering telephone consultations. If the doctor thinks you need to be seen face to face, they will arrange a suitable time for you to come in. Please ONLY come to the Health Centre if you have been given an appointment. We are running a restricted service and some routine work like chronic disease monitoring and medical reports are temporarily suspended.
If you have a new, continuous cough or a fever, please stay at home and follow the government advice on self isolation nhsinform.scot. You do not need to inform us if you are self isolating. If you are worried about your symptoms, please phone the surgery and a doctor will be able to advise you what to do. Please DO NOT come to the surgery if you have these symptoms.
Please do not order prescriptions earlier than usual or order more than needed.
If you’ve been to the health centre recently you’ll have noticed the red signs round the building. We have an area set aside for us to be able to see patients who need a clinical assessment who have coronavirus symptoms. There is a strict procedure we will go through if this becomes necessary and this will be arranged on a case by case basis by the duty doctor.
Once again, thank you for bearing with us. We’ll try to keep you updated as the situation changes.
